PROS Worship Service
Breakfast starts at 8:30am and Service begins at 9:00am!
A New Type of Worship Service
Launching Sunday, May 18, this unique Sunday morning worship experience at Sunlight focuses on hearing God’s Word read aloud in community.
The service includes a shared breakfast, psalm-based worship, and extended public Scripture reading, beginning with the New Testament. Each gathering ends with Communion and an invitation to deeply internalize God’s truth through both hearing and singing.
Join us to rediscover the early church rhythm of worship—centered on God’s voice through His Word. Check out our video to learn more!

We will be lead by one of our Pastors in a short devotional that further deepens our understanding of the text.
Time of Discussion
This is a time where you can share ny questions or thoughts you may have had as we interpret the reading together!
Afterwards

Why Public Reading of Scripture?
“God speaks for two minutes. Then the preacher speaks for 30. What if we flipped that?”
The Importance of our Service
01
Why It Matters
The PROS Worship Service is not about replacing our modern gatherings. It’s about recovering a lost treasure in worship—deep immersion in God’s Word through communal listening and singing.
“We're counting on people reading the Bible at home... but what if they aren't? Let's bring the Bible back into the heart of the church.”
02
A Return to Ancient Practice
From the synagogue in Jesus' day to the early church gatherings, public Scripture reading shaped the spiritual lives of believers.
“Jesus grew up hearing the Torah and Prophets read aloud for 45 minutes every Sabbath. That was worship.”
03
Singing the Psalms Again
This service doesn’t just read Scripture—it sings it. Worship will center around the Psalms, set to modern melodies, reconnecting us with the church’s original songbook.
“In the early church, singing Psalms was the norm. The Psalms were the soundtrack of Jesus’ life.”
