When Jesus Pursues His Enemies | Acts 9
In Acts 9, we encounter one of the most powerful conversion stories in all of Scripture—the dramatic transformation of Saul of Tarsus. A fierce persecutor of Christians, Saul was determined to destroy the church and silence the name of Jesus. Yet on the road to Damascus, everything changed. In a moment of divine intervention, Saul came face-to-face with the risen Christ and discovered that the very Savior he opposed was alive and reigning as Lord. This message explores God’s sovereignty, His ability to humble proud hearts, and His remarkable grace that turns enemies into sons and daughters. Through Saul’s story, we see that God often calls the most unlikely people, uses unexpected relationships to shape us, and transforms broken sinners into instruments for His kingdom. The same Jesus who pursued Saul still pursues people today—not because of their qualifications, achievements, or goodness, but because of His mercy and grace. No one is beyond His reach, and no past is too dark for His redeeming power. This sermon is an invitation to trust the God who seeks sinners, changes lives, and continues His work of transformation in ordinary people every
